Race Review - Noblesville 5K

All of our races tend to be a drive.  This one, however, we had company.  Our pal went but then so did our Pastor (who runs) and his wife (who doesn't).

We had to leave at the crack of dawn - like 5:30am.  For real.  I had to stop and pick Matt up, grab my fave coffee at the gas station and I was off.

Thankfully I had company so Matt could sleep because I had next to no sleep the night before.  The directions were misleading and we got lost even though we followed the GPS.  Once we found the location we had to book it to get our packets and use the potty.  With minutes to spare, we made it.

I am unsure why but I struggled a little with this one.  Not sure if it was because some of the course was that cobbled brick or because the humidity sucked.

Regardless I was drenched and sticky.  I crossed the line and Pastor was a little over a minute behind me.  Then my pal pr-ed by like 3 minutes!!  Way to go!  Matt wasn't too far behind.  We grabbed a water and some trail mix after getting our bling.  Then we needed to find the Pastor's wife.  We assumed she would be at the finish to cheer us in.  We looked everywhere for her for over half an hour.  Finally she came walking towards us.  She hung out in the vehicle.  Thanks for the support!  Haha!  I gave her a hard time the rest of the day.

It was a pretty cut and dried course.  It was nice to bring another friend to come experience my world.  They plan to join us again this Saturday to do their first mud run.  I can't wait :)
